Permanent Vacation

Hey Guys!

I hope you have been good. My end-terms have ended, and my University vacations start soon. I haven’t been so excited for a break in  a long time. Since, I do not have much to study, I have been hooked on youtube videos for the past two days.

5SOS sung their new song ‘Permanent Vacation’ for the first time in Lisbon on 4th May. If you like upbeat pop rock music, you will love it! Here is a link to the video (I found it on youtube):

Their stage presence is amazing! There is so much to learn from the way they manage a crowd! 🙂

Also, while listening to this, I found a video by Tobias Ward covering this song. This guy is truly amazing! You should check out his cover as well. Here’s a link :

After listening to his cover, I think I watched all his previous covers as well! He has a really beautiful voice and his guitar skills are on point!
If you see this Tobias, keep doing what you’re doing and all the best! 😀

See you guys soon

My Favourite College/Uni Tips Videos!

Hey guys!

I will be leaving for my University soon, and I have been watching loads of videos that can help me with this awesome experience. I realized that so many of you guys may be going through the same things, so why not share with you some videos that helped me organize my things for college. I will also list down the things I will carry for my university dorm with me in a future post if you like! 🙂

So here we go! I hope these help you as much as they help me! =)

You will find yourself doing shopping for your university or college dorm. This I find as one of the most time consuming and confusing parts, because you never know whether you are packing too much or too less. One video that helped me out a lot in this dilemma was this one. I also suggest you watch Meghan Rienks’s videos for what to pack for your dorm.

The first thing you will experience as you move in to college is making friends and having roommates. Your orientation will be the best time to know other freshmen. This video is really helpful and has lots of good advice about that!

To have a good college experience, you need to stay in your limits yet have a free mind. The most helpful video is one I found as a random youtube suggestion, but this is definitely worth it.

College is generally a place where students tend to slack off, they do not study much. They end up concentrating more on their social environment and their new found ‘independence’ than their studies. It is essential to fair well in college. There are 2 videos in this list that can help you set your mind to studies, and help you fare well in class.

I hope this little playlist helps you out in your college/university experience. If you have any other video suggestions for college that I should consider, do let me know. I’d love to watch them! 😀

See you next time!

P.s: The collaboration blog that I have with my friends called LifeFourWays will in no way stop. In fact, you can see L4W back in action starting this August! We have loads of stuff planned, and we hope you are excited as much as we are!

May Favourites!

Hey everyone!

I saw AmazingPhil do his May favourites video today. I felt like if he had the courage to try something new, I should gather some of my own and do it as well! So here is a May favourites blogpost for you guys!

The first thing on my list is these Origami hearts that I have been making for the past few days! I have made them in so many colours and I literally have a ‘Jar of hearts’ in my bedroom! I feel so creative and relaxed when I make these. They also look so beautiful as cards, because you can write a mini message inside them too. If you would like to know how to make them, I may do a DIY tutorial on them someday (if you want). Just drop me a line in the comment section/my email/my twitter.

DIY Heart

I have recently done another DIY project. I made my own lipgloss!! I am so proud of it and it is this beautiful shade of pink that I love to wear. It’s become my to-go lipgloss. I hope you like it too! 😀

Okay, so as you know I watch a lot of youtube. So, my favourite video from last month is………? The Prank Calls video that Louise (Sprinkleofglitter) did with Dan (Danisnotonfire)!!! The video is so hilarious and so awkward that you want to laugh all the way through it (and ofcourse, it has Dan in it).

I have not been reading much of anything in the last month, but I did stumble upon a book from my teenhood (I know, it’s not a word). This book is called ‘A Little Love Song’ and is written by Michelle Magorian. It is a very beautiful coming of age novel, which I would definitely recommend!

It’s summer and it is the perfect time for braiding your hair. My fave summer braid for May, which I have done quiet a lot on my hair as well is a classic but beautiful French braid. I won’t go into too much detail, but I have been loving either french braiding my hair or doing a fishtail braid in the last month.

There are so many that I would love to share with you all beautiful people! But this is it for today 🙂
If you like my DIY projects do let me know. I want to bring back a lot of adventure to this blog soon! If you like this sort of posts, let me know and I may start doing them more often.

Thanks and I will see you next time,
Srish. xx

Living Life Vicariously | Srish

Hello everyone!

It’s obsession week on L4W and here is my post! I hope you like it 😀

Hey Guys!

How have you been? It Tuesday here on L4W and you know what that means (I guess I was on a Grace Helbig marathon 😛 ).  It’s time for Tangled Tuesdays with Srish! So the theme this week is ‘Obsessions’ week. I am a little too obsessed with a little too much, so this post may be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long.

First and foremost, I am obsessed with Romance. I am a dreamer and I read, write and breathe romance. If I was on another planet where a physical aura would surround you, it will probably be a plethora of hearts. Ohh, and a lot of chocolates! I love chocolates, and if there could be one food item I could have for the rest of my life, it would probably be chocolate.

It is here that I mention how I am obsessed (musically) with One Direction (

A Poem For Jacksgap

A new poem dedicated to Jacksgap on my poetry blog! I hope thou like it! 😀

Hey everyone! If you read my other blog, you may be aware that I really like Jack and Finn Harries. Commonly known by their YouTube name ‘Jacksgap’. When I visited North East India last year, while writing the travelogue and being on the road, I had ample amount of free time on my hands, which is when I wrote a poem dedicated to the phenomenon, that is ‘JacksGap’.

Jacksgap; An Inspiration

Finn Finn the better twin,
Looks like Jack, Jack looks like him.
Jacksgap is the channel to see,
YouTube is the air we breathe.

Jack Jack you’re a fine lad,
But you don’t notice me, that’s quiet sad.
But you’re videos are seriously amazing,
In twin challenges you’re an epic win!

Sidney, the dragon is quiet creepy,
Somehow he always looks sleepy.
Your travel blogs are a treat to see,
Dear Finn and Jack, you really inspire me.
