Weasley can save anything,
He never leaves a single ring,
That’s why Gryffindors all sing:
Weasley is our King.
While surfing the internet for random Harry Potter related articles, I stumbled across a little too many pages where people spoke about how they did not like Ron Weasley. I am a Weasley girl, forever. If I have to ship myself with a Harry Potter character, it will without a doubt be Ron Weasley. I just thought I would take this opportunity to appreciate Ron Weasley, JK Rowling’s perfect creation.
The best thing about Ron is that he is more human than anyone else in the book. He relates to a situation like any other human would (please avoid the fact that he is actually a wizard). If there is a situation that requires you to panic, Ron will panic. I sometimes feel that Harry is the super heroic fictional character that I can never relate to in real life.
Ron is extremely loyal. He will never stop supporting his best friends no matter what. He could easily stay away from the turmoil that Harry and Hermione had to go through, but he supported them. Ron was always there for his friends, his family and even people he didn’t know, like the House Elves! If we need someone to teach us loyalty and friendship, that teacher should be Ron.
Ronald Weasley is a family person. He lives in a big family and respects everyone in it. This is not really a personality trait, but is definitely something that makes up his personality. In today’s ‘taken for granted’ era, being a family person means a lot!
Have you read or seen ‘Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets’? This shows how he is able to think logically in stressful situations. He is clever and there is no doubt about it. You can actually see his cleverness when you see him play Wizard Chess! It is amazing!
When Ron is excited, you are excited with him. He can make you happy when you aren’t happy. This may sound weird to say about a fictional character, but while reading the novel, there are instances when you find yourself smiling because of a conversation with Ron, or a scene where Ron is super excited.
Also, I would like to mention a write-up that I stumbled upon just before I was about to upload this post, and if you are a part of the Ron Weasley fandom, definitely check this out : http://www.hypable.com/2014/02/07/why-we-absolutely-love-ron-weasley/
See you next time!
