May Favourites!

Hey everyone!

I saw AmazingPhil do his May favourites video today. I felt like if he had the courage to try something new, I should gather some of my own and do it as well! So here is a May favourites blogpost for you guys!

The first thing on my list is these Origami hearts that I have been making for the past few days! I have made them in so many colours and I literally have a ‘Jar of hearts’ in my bedroom! I feel so creative and relaxed when I make these. They also look so beautiful as cards, because you can write a mini message inside them too. If you would like to know how to make them, I may do a DIY tutorial on them someday (if you want). Just drop me a line in the comment section/my email/my twitter.

DIY Heart

I have recently done another DIY project. I made my own lipgloss!! I am so proud of it and it is this beautiful shade of pink that I love to wear. It’s become my to-go lipgloss. I hope you like it too! 😀

Okay, so as you know I watch a lot of youtube. So, my favourite video from last month is………? The Prank Calls video that Louise (Sprinkleofglitter) did with Dan (Danisnotonfire)!!! The video is so hilarious and so awkward that you want to laugh all the way through it (and ofcourse, it has Dan in it).

I have not been reading much of anything in the last month, but I did stumble upon a book from my teenhood (I know, it’s not a word). This book is called ‘A Little Love Song’ and is written by Michelle Magorian. It is a very beautiful coming of age novel, which I would definitely recommend!

It’s summer and it is the perfect time for braiding your hair. My fave summer braid for May, which I have done quiet a lot on my hair as well is a classic but beautiful French braid. I won’t go into too much detail, but I have been loving either french braiding my hair or doing a fishtail braid in the last month.

There are so many that I would love to share with you all beautiful people! But this is it for today 🙂
If you like my DIY projects do let me know. I want to bring back a lot of adventure to this blog soon! If you like this sort of posts, let me know and I may start doing them more often.

Thanks and I will see you next time,
Srish. xx

Nail Painting ; Ballerina brown shade

Hey everyone!

I hope you are good. So today I wanted to talk to you all about this really pretty shade of brown that I made. I did some nail polish mixing in this one too. The brown shade by itself looks really pretty. It’s very subtle and can be worn to office/meetings or during autumn time too. 😀

Since I wanted to add a little edge to the same, I did a shiny top coat over it with transparent and silver flowers (the picture explains it better).

To make the base coat (brown) I used:
6-7 parts chocolate brown by Nail Trends
3-4 parts white on white by  Revlon

(One part equals one drop). I then mixed it up and voilà!

For the top coat I used JSE # 1332 by Camieo.

I love the way this looks on my nails! I hope you like it too and I’ll see you next time! 😀

Hairstyle #1 : Braid for Long/Medium Hair

Hey everyone!

So yesterday I made this really cute braid on my friend Donna’s hair and thought that it looked gorgeous. So, here I am to share it with you all! If you are looking for a way to style your hair where you do not want it to come on your face or you want a cute spring/ summer braid, this actually looks beautiful! 🙂

Unique Braid

I made a rope braid with a very little section of her hair to cover the rubber band and then I made a four stranded braid (in which I braided strand #3). If you want to see a tutorial on this braid, I learnt it from a video by Bebexo.

I hope you like this awesome hairdo!

See you next time,

Painting Nails

Hey guys!

I am going to do a ‘beauty’ related blog today which is totally out of my comfort zone. But I really have been wanting to share this nail colour with you guys. The picture is clicked while the flash was on, so the shade varies a little. The pink is a little more dusky and towards a more purple shade. However, it’s more or less the same.

So I have been mixing shades of different basilisks (seriously autocorrect?) nail paints to get the shade that I want. So, for this shade I used the following:

From left to right they are:

Beauté VOV French Manicure tip white – it’s a normal white nail polish, and you can use any other company as well.

Beauté VOV French manicure Top Coat – this is a transparent shade and it’s optional.

Elle 18 nail pops shade 38 -this is a very dark shade of maroon.

Ebony London shade 233 – I am not so sure if this nail polish has a name, but its a very beautiful dark lilac shade.

So, now to make the shade I mentioned above,
Mix 4 parts white, 1 part clear/top coat (optional),1.5 part maroon and 2 parts dark lilac. One Part equals about one drop from the nail polish brush. And voilà!

I love some girly stuff sometimes and I really wanted to share this with you guys!
Also, while we are at the topic of nail polishes, I really want the shades from Tanya Burr’s nail polish collection. Should I get them shipped? Please let me know if you have used them! 😀

As for me, I will see you next time!
